Joe Simpson
President and Founder

Joseph Simpson, President of Simpson Burke, has more than 35 years of experience as a contractor specializing in commercial structural concrete projects and general contracting.
Since founding Simpson Burke in 2001, Mr. Simpson has managed several commercial construction projects, working closely with engineers, architects, subcontractors, and clients. He is a  Virginia Class A Contractor, certified through the American Concrete Institute for tilt-up concrete and slabs on grade, through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for Quality Management, through VDOT for Drainage Structures;Portland Concrete Paving, incedental concrete, H.C.C. Pavement; Slip Forming and through the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality as a Responsible Land Disturber, and is OSHA 30.
Mr. Simpson received a BA in Geology from the George Washington University, and is a Combat Veteran having served in the United States Army Artillery.

Maureen Simpson
Managing Member

Maureen Simpson, of Simpson Burke, has more than 30 years of experience in real estate project management, land development, sales and design. She specializes in product development, site planning, and all aspects of management support.

Donald “Jake” Simpson
Supervisor and Safety Officer

Prior to joining Simpson Burke LLC, Jake served with Fairfax County Fire Services for 35 years, retiring as Station Commander. Along with his responsibilities he also worked with the hazardous materials and technical rescue teams. Jake oversees the company-wide safety programs following OSHA and NAVFAC safety regulations. Prior to retiring from the FCFS he worked within the construction industry and has been with Simpson Burke LLC for over 10 years and is the company’s Senior Site Superintendent.
